Last year the Naze Tower was 300 years old but we were not open so we put our birthday celebrations on hold. We will celebrate this year by having a room dedicated to the Tower and the Naze in our Summer and Autumn Exhibitions. We also have a special event planned for the public to enjoy in August (date tbc). The Tower has commissioned Colchester potter Martin Bridges to make 301 terracotta towers to celebrate the Naze Tower’s 301st! birthday. The towers will be hidden around the Naze for a public treasure hunt in the Summer. It will be a matter of finders keepers and there will be some extra special ones with gold lustre!
